Petra Leary is an award-winning aerial photographer and creative, well known for her ability to capture her subjects from unique perspectives. With an intrepid spirit, she hunts out unusual landscapes and captures them from interesting angles, like her signature bird’s eye work. We caught up with Petra in her Auckland home to get a glimpse of her morning routine.

I’m Petra Leary and I am an aerial photographer and an artist, I guess.
TELL US ABOUT THE SPACE WE’RE IN THIS MORNING.
Me and Tim live in this warehouse. We’ve got a pretty crazy collection of stuff together.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
I think my typical day I usually get up and I have a coffee, or maybe I’ll have a smoothie. I’ll either jump on my computer and do some work or I’ll go for a walk or a skate. My favourite part of the day is when I get to skate with Kodak and he’s not being a psycho.
